Heritage Open Days Weekend – Organ Festival.
Jonathan Kingston returns to give a spectacular display of popular works on our magnificent Willis Organ. If you have not heard Jonathan play before then we can guarantee you are in for a treat! He will astound you with the power and delicacy of this instrument and also give an informative and amusing explanation of these popular organ works. This really is music for all. There is something here for everyone. All ages welcome. The cost is £10 (under 18s free) or you can purchase a weekend-saver ticket for the three paid concerts as part of the Organ Weekend Festival. Following the Lunchtime recital our Music for All @ SMSG team will be giving grade 4 and above keyboard players a chance to use their skills on this three-manual Willis Pipe Organ. Jacob Collins opens our Organ Festival Weekend with an exciting lunchtime concert on our newly restored and refurbished Willis Pipe Organ. He will show of the great versatility of this fine instrument in an hour’s recital. This is a free concert – refreshments available. All ages welcome.
Parish Singers will meet on Thursday 8th September this week to avoid the Organ Festival Weekend.

A Heritage Weekend Exhibition of photographs of the history of Stony Stratford and information in the church about our newly restored and refurbished Willis Pipe Organ.
All Saints Calverton is the venue for our annual Summer Fete starting at 2pm with traditional stalls, live music, a chance to visit the top of the tower, and come down for wonderful refreshments.
The church will be open to view – if you have never seen this gem of decoration inside this glorious village church then it is well worth a visit. This is a perfect setting for an September afternoon of relaxation and enjoyment.
Monthly Coffee Morning in the Parish Hall from 10am until 12noon. All are welcome for Tea, Coffee, Light refreshments and pleasant company. Proceeds to the disabled access project.
Mezzo-Soprano Patricia Leslie will entertain you and also Playpals (a small U3A band) will play for you while you enjoy a cream tea.
The concert is free and all are welcome, you may purchase a cream tea if you wish at £3:50 each.
Clive Williams and Mark Prescott are welcomed again, playing violin and melodeon. If you have not been before, then do come and enjoy this gentle traditional music to relax the body and feed the soul. This is a free concert but donations will be gratefully received for the upkeep of the Organ.
As it is the school summer holiday today’s Mass will be in the church.
